Even if the sun isn’t shining on Saturday morning, you may want to wear your sunglasses to the annual homecoming parade.
There will be lots of neon and bright glowing colors in keeping with this year’s theme, “Under a Neon Moon.”
All week WHS celebrated homecoming week by dressing up each day to a specific theme. You can view the pictures in the slide show above.
Monday - Super Hero Day
Tuesday -Twin/Tie-dye Day
Wednesday - Dress to Impress Day impress
Thursday - Bring on the Neon Day
Friday - Wolf Gear Day
The Insider caught up with the freshman class on Wednesday afternoon as they continued work on their homecoming float. Their float will be one of dozens to take to the streets on Saturday morning to celebrate Westminster High School in a tradition that goes back decades.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. The route is below:
- Begins on the south side of Westminster High School.
- Travels east on 68th to Lowell
- North on Lowell to 76thAvenue,
- West on 76th to Bradburn Blvd.
- South on Bradburn to 72nd Ave.
- West on 72nd to Utica Street
- South on Utica Street to WHS parking lot
The parade will be followed at 1:00 p.m. with the Ranum/Westminster Alumni Flag Football Game at Memorial Stadium.
The homecoming football game is Friday night, September 20 at District 50 Memorial Stadium. The Wolves and their high-scoring offense play the Thornton Trojans at 7:00 p.m.
