When Students in Ms. Schmitz first grade class at Sherrelwood Elementary decided to send Christmas letters to Santa, their teacher expedited the process through the Superintendent’s office. It worked, and they got a quick response from the North Pole.
The students colored in pictures of Santa and, in their best penmanship, wrote a letter detailing what they wanted for Christmas. The list included bikes, clothes, Xbox’s, guitars and much more. One student asked for a new dress to wear on a school field trip.
The packet of letters was sent to Superintendent Swanson’s office because of her longtime close connection to Santa. She forwarded the letters to Santa who responded by asking her to share his letter with Ms. Schmitz and her students.
