Chief Financial Officer, Sandi Nees was named “Education Partner of the Year” by the Horace Mann Financial Framework for her efforts to support educators and children in Westminster Public Schools. She was honored at the May 10 Board of Education meeting.
Nees, who has been with the District 20 years, was cited for her efforts to promote financial literacy for District staff and support classroom projects through the Donors Choose program funded by the Westminster Public Schools Foundation.
“It’s an honor for us to give this award to Sandi,” said Kendra Robinette of Horace Mann. “Her efforts have resulted in noticeable improvement in morale and teamwork throughout the district.” Robinette also serves as President of the Foundation Board of Directors.
Horace Mann is the nation's largest insurance company focusing on the insurance and financial needs of educators.
