Dear WPS Community,
Welcome to a new year!
Yes, the first week of 2017 brought us snow, cold weather and school closures, but since we are all a hearty bunch we pushed through and are ready for whatever Mother Nature has in store for us over the next couple of months.
With weather on everyone’s mind this is the ideal time to reflect upon how appreciative we all should be of our maintenance and operations staff. On the most miserable mornings, they are out and about in the dark, cold early hours making sure that our parking lots and sidewalks are clear and ensuring that our buildings are warm and safe.
They are unsung heroes.
Speaking of weather, it’s important that family members immediately notify their home school of any changes in phone numbers and email address so we can get ahold of you to give you the latest information.
Also, if you haven’t downloaded our free mobile App, I encourage you to do so ASAP. You can learn more about the App here.
The start of a new year is a great opportunity for all of us to look down the road a bit and think about what we would like to see happen in 2017. I’m excited about what lies ahead and hope you are as well. I’m excited because I know that we have a group of dedicated and hardworking parents, students and staff members who all have the same long range hopes and ambitions for this community. We are all living up to the promise of the tagline we unveiled last year.
