Hello Sunset Ridge Community! 

I am very excited to be working with your children at Sunset Ridge. This is my 19th year teaching (14th as a CLD Specialist). 

Students in my groups will particpate in reading and writing opportunities about many different genres in non-fiction. We will practice active listening skills, as well as, speaking English to communicate what we are learning. 

A little about myself:

I am from sunny and warm Miami, FL and have also lived many years in Los Angeles. These two cities have really made me aware of the variety of cultures that make this country such a strong and beautiful place. 

My passions are writing, nature, art, traveling, animals of all kinds (especially BIG dogs).  I believe in good health and being active to enjoy life to the fullest. 

Though I am a fluent English speaker, Spanish is my first language, and I hope to encourage all of my students to become fluent in English, yet keep their native language close to their hearts.
