Proposition CC

  • In November 2019, Colorado voters will be asked to approve or reject Proposition CC which would allow the state of Colorado to keep excess tax revenues that are typically returned to taxpayers under laws created by the TABOR (Taxpayer Bill of Rights) amendment to the state constitution. The money would be split evenly between transportation, higher education and K-12 education. The fact sheet lists the pros and cons of Proposition CC and its projected impact on Westminster Public Schools.

The WPS Board of Education has not taken a formal position on the issue, but during board comments of the October 8 Board of Education meeting, members spoke in favor of the measure.
