Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) Compliance
-
As mandated by the Federal Communications Commission order FCC 11-125 and Federal law enacted by Congress to address concerns about access to Offensive content over the Internet on school and library computers, the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) was passed. Our schools and libraries are compliant with CIPA, providing technologies that go above and beyond content filtering to ensure our children are protected. This includes all computers used by students and administration. Starting in July 2012, all minor students will be educated in the classrooms about appropriate online behavior including interacting with other individuals on social networking sites, chat rooms and cyberbullying awareness and response. Click here for information on CIPA compliance.
