Hello Fairview Families,
We are coming to the end of what has arguably been the most unexpected school year in our history. Without a doubt, it has been very difficult at times and Fairview’s staff, students, and families have risen to the challenge and really shown what it means to be part of the WPS community. Thank you so much to all of you for doing your part to help make the best of a bad situation.
As we come together to close out this unusual school year, we want to be sure to leave you with a clear message of our process for moving forward. While there is still a great deal of uncertainty around what to expect for the start of the coming school year, know that we are planning for a range of possible scenarios and we are taking each and every one of your survey responses into consideration.
For now, here is a list of key points that will drive our planning:
- It is likely that the structure of how Fairview operates in August will be different than usual.
- In any scenario, we will work to create a structure that maximizes in-person learning within the bounds of public health guidelines.
- We will communicate a final plan before the end of August, with the recognition that continuing adjustments may be needed as public health guidelines change.
Thank you so much for working with your children and ensuring that our learners were in Zoom sessions and working through the activities in Empower. We are grateful that you came out for school lunches. We appreciate the inspiring emails, encouraging phone calls, and your willingness to team up with your child’s teachers. We are obliged to work with you and for you.
We will continue to be in touch via our Facebook community so stay in contact and let us know if you need anything. In the meantime, please be sure to stay safe and enjoy a well-earned, rejuvenating summer.
