Tige Asnicar | Interim Principal

  • Dear Families and Friends of the Astro Community,

It is my pleasure and honor to accept the position as Principal of Scott Carpenter Middle School.

Building upon the successes of the past, I intend to fulfill the school’s and district’s mission to provide your child a supportive and safe environment where dedicated and hardworking professionals empower our students to achieve their highest potential. Scott Carpenter has made a positive difference in our community and we will continue to do so, that is my commitment to you—you all deserve that!

In my 21 years in education, serving my communities as a teacher, coach, counselor, and administrator, I know relationships and respect are what makes a school strong. As a parent of a middle school student myself, I know how challenging these years can be and I respect the work you do daily. Through these shared experiences we can create positive home-school relationships that will build an even stronger and more vibrant school.

I am humbled by the quality, character, and vision of the principals who have served before me and I appreciate the confidence you have placed in me as leader of this school. I promise my actions will communicate to you my dedication and resolve in leading Scott Carpenter toward the heights you have come to expect.

I will work hard every day and allow my actions to tell the story of who I am and of my commitment to this community. I am confident we will continue to have success; and, I look forward to celebrating those successes alongside you with pleasure and pride.

In closing Astros, I am more excited NOW at the prospect of leading SCMS and serving as the next principal than I have ever been in my educational career.

    Respectfully,

    Tige Asnicar
