Tige Asnicar | Interim Principal

  • My Astro Family,

It’s with a heavy heart I write this letter to all the parents and students here at Scott Carpenter Middle School. You may have already heard the rumors , but I wanted to make an official announcement about my leaving SCMS as the school’s principal. My last day in the office will be at the end of this school year, June 22th.

When I first entered this building 6 months ago, I was excited at the opportunity to lead such an amazing group of students and talented staff. I wasn’t sure how long I would stay, but I knew it was  of stepping up to serve Westminster Public Schools and my community. Little did I know I would fall in love with the students, staff, and community that is dedicated to becoming a world class school. To be honest, there were a couple of times when I wondered what I got myself into but there were far more times when I thanked God He chose to put me on this path.

When I was appointed principal in November, I gladly took the reins. I had one single objective for this school, continue the pursuit of excellence previously established, and am happy to say I have seen this to fruition.

The search for my replacement is underway and the SCMS staff is involved in the process and you will be kept in the loop.

It  has been a pleasure collaborating with you and all the other parents, teachers and students that made my time  here such a pleasure.

    Thank you all.

    Best regards,

    Tige Asnicar
