Message from the CSLA Principal

  • Colorado Sports Leadership Families and Students,

It has been a great first week back from Thanksgiving Break! We focused on reviewing classroom and schoolwide expectations and got right back into learning.

Next week is a very important week for students! December 5th-7th, we will be STAR Renaissance Testing in and DIBEL's Testing! These are very important mid year assessments for our students. These assessments help indicate if students are on the right track and are progressing in their academics. They also help us determine what knowledge and skills students may still need support on and focus on student's individual goals in improving and supporting academic growth in reading and math.

Please makse sure you talk about the importance of these assesments with your student and encourage them to be on time, get a good night's rest, and give 100% effort!

There are a few exciting upcoming events to add to your calendar!

*December 5th-7th-STAR Renaissance and DIBEL's Testing!

    *December 6th-Early Dismissal (1:45pm)

*December 14th-Loteria Night! (5:00pm-7:00pm)-More information to come soon!

*December 15th,18th, and 19th-"Donut's with Dear One's" celebration breakfasts

Student Fees: Please make sure you are up to date on your student fees. You can log into your Parent Portal or stop by the main office to pay your balance.

This year is all about achievement and growth! The most successful students are the one that have a good partnership between school and home. Please remember to have your student read for 20 minutes each night. Kids who read more have better vocabulary, reading skills, fluency, reading comprehension and overall literacy.
