Alumni Golf Tournament Planned for September
You can expect some good-natured trash talking next month on the golf course as one time Raiders and Warriors tee it up for the First Annual Alumni Golf Tournament at the Greg Mastriona Golf Course at Hyland Hills.
The scramble tournament is scheduled for Friday, September 27 at 1:30 in the afternoon.
The tournament was the idea of a group of Ranum and Westminster High School graduates who were interested in uniting the community and also raising money. By tapping into people’s affection for their high school and memories of the rivalry between the two schools, they can do just that.
Proceeds from the tournament will be split between the Hyland Hills Foundation and the District 50 Education Foundation. Both organizations are focused on helping children in the community by providing athletic opportunities and college scholarships for students.
The tournament is open to other members of the community who didn’t necessarily graduate from either of the schools as well.
Not a golfer? In addition, there is a patio party after the tournament for people who want to support the cause, but don’t play golf.
Registration is available on a first come, first serve basis.
