Welcome Back to this week’s edition of the D50 Insider.
There is plenty of election news that impacts education in District 50 to tell you about this week.
Two candidates have been approved for the November ballot to replace the two outgoing Board of Education members. We have the details.
The Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District has endorsed District 50’s mill levy increase proposal and it was determined this week that enough signatures have been gathered to put a question on the statewide ballot concerning education funding.
Some of District 50’s students now have needed school supplies thanks to the generosity of 9News, King Soopers and Volunteers of America. “Stuff for Students” is the focus of this week’s Insider video.
It’s called SNAG golf and is giving youngsters an early exposure to the game. We take you to Harris Park where little ones are learning to tee it up.
Speaking of golf, the Ranum/Westminster Alumni Golf Tournament is September 27. We’ll tell you how the event came together and how you can register.
The musical group “Face” is headlining a benefit concert for Mesa Elementary School. In the Insider, you can see what makes their concerts so unique.
A reminder that Colorado STEM Academy’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony is set for Monday. We hope you can attend.
In honor of the Broncos season opener, students and staff across the District wore their team colors Thursday in advance of the game. We have a slide show for you.
