Westminster City Council Endorses Mill Levy Override
While city leaders in Westminster may disagree over some issues, they are unanimous in their support for District 50’s mill levy override election. The council voted last week to endorse the District’s November 5th ballot proposal.
Mayor Nancy McNally followed the vote with an appearance the next night at District 50’s Board of Education meeting. McNally praised the District for its academic improvement over the last three years.
She also had kind words for members of the Board. “This board should be very proud of itself,” she said. “You have earned the trust of the community, you have shown where you are going and you know your path.”
Earlier in the month, the Board for the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District also voted to support the mill levy override. The override election is the first to go before voters since 2002.
