Welcome back to this week’s edition of the D50 Insider.
Sherrelwood Elementary and Principal Cindy Davis had a busy two weeks as they not only educated their students, but found time to share their strategies with a leading statewide education group. We have the story.
There is a special emphasis this month on parental involvement in the classroom and at home. We will tell you about the significance of this month.
It’s called “A Day Made Better” and that was certainly the case at Hodgkins Elementary where a teacher was the surprise winner of school supplies from OfficeMax. The teacher’s reaction is something to see.
The Westminster City Council threw its support behind District 50’s mill levy override election. Mayor Nancy McNally also addressed the Board of Education.
The Ranum/Westminster Alumni Golf Tournament was a huge success. We have the pictures and a video report on what happens when old Warriors and Raiders get together.
Homecoming Week for Westminster High School started with the annual parade and concludes this weekend with the football game and dance. We have the highlights, so far.
Meantime Westminster High School students also got a sobering reminder about the dangers of drinking and distracted driving. We will tell you what students learned.
