• ‘Eurydice’ Coming to WHS Stage


    Westminster High School’s latest CenterStage Theater Production is putting a new twist on a classic Greek myth. The result is Eurydice a play that offers, “A fresh look at a timeless love story with contemporary characters, ingenious plot twists, and breathtaking visual effects.”

    Eurydice plays at Westminster High School November 7 - 9.

    Tickets are $8.00 for General Admission and $10.00 Reserved.
    The story, written by Pulitzer Prize Winner Sarah Ruhl, looks at the classic story of Orpheus as seen through the eyes of its heroine Eurydice.

    Eurydice, one of the daughters of Apollo, dies on her wedding day to Orpheus and enters the Underworld where she meets her father. Orpheus arrives to save her and she must choose between the two men.

    The play premiered in 2003 and has been staged around the country.

    “It's richly imaginative, full of surprising twists and turns,’ said Theater teacher and Director Andre Rodriguez. “For our students and the audience, it presents exciting challenges that encourages them to think outside of the box.”
