Rapids Help Students with Soccer, Reading Skills
If you visit Harris Park Elementary School these days, you will find a group of students who are both better soccer players and, more importantly, better readers.
The Colorado Rapids and Regis University athletes have teamed up to run the “Reading the Game” after school program. Twenty lucky students were selected for the program that offers students 45 minutes of coaching/soccer drills followed by 45 minutes of reading.
The kids also get a t-shirt and a ticket to an upcoming Rapids game.
