Westminster Runs with the Wolves
Rescheduled because of heavy rain in September, runners of all abilities were finally able to make it out this past Saturday for the third annual “Run With the Wolves” 5k race hosted by Westminster High School and the Parent Activities and Athletics Council (P.A.A.C).
With a mix of walkers and runners, the chilly 9:00 am race brought many students, staff and community members out for a morning focused on exercise and bringing the community together. The event involved runners of all ages from small children to senior citizens.Westminster High junior Said Moreno was the first to cross the finish line. Following closely behind were second and third place runners, sophomore Ramon Sandoval and Tasha Wheatley respectively. “Everyone is out here giving it their best, regardless of their time,” said Moreno as he cheered other runners to the finish line.
