    On the strength of a dominating season-ending win over Northglenn, the Westminster High School Wolves football team is headed to the western slope for a Friday night playoff game against Grand Junction.

    The 7 p.m. game is being played at Stocker Field in Grand Junction. If you can’t attend you can listen to the game online at www.theteam1340.com.

    The Wolves beat Northglenn 46 to 14 last week and were awarded one of the final playoff spots on Sunday. They finished the season with a 5-3 record.

    The Grand Junction Tigers are 7-2 this season and ranked 10th in the state.

    The Wolves finished the season on a roll, scoring 40 or more points in their last three games. Running back Ryan Belearde finished the season with 1409 yards in 8 games with 19 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 11 passes for 200 yards and one touchdown.
