    D50 Insider

Welcome back to this week’s edition of the D50 Insider.

Voters across the state, including here in District 50 said no to tax increases for education. The Insider has final results on ballot issue 3B and some of the implications of the vote.

Two new members will join the Board of Education to try and solve the budget challenges that lie ahead. Interestingly enough, all of the board members are now graduates of Westminster High School.

Scott Carpenter Middle School now has a living tribute to the late astronaut who died last month. A tree planting ceremony is the focus of this week’s Insider Video.

Carpenter was one of many veterans remembered this week at Flynn Elementary’s 13th Annual Veterans Day Reception. We have details.

Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari was the special guest this week at Sunset Ridge Elementary for a special afternoon of tennis. Hear his message to the children.

It was also a memorable night at the Pepsi Center last week for one of our students who had some special help in getting to his first ever Denver Nuggets game.

You and your children can help choose the next One Book 4 Colorado that all the little readers will get for free next spring. Voting is underway now.

Hispanic students at Westminster High School got a first-hand account of what a difference a scholarship can make and how they can apply.

And if you missed the Westminster High School CenterStage Theater production of Eurydice, we have some of the highlights.

As always, check out the program listing for D50 TV this week, as well as the District's calendar of events.

    Thanks for reading.
