• Students to ‘Celebrate Academic Excellence’ February 8th

District 50’s best and brightest students are counting the hours to the big showdown.

No, not the Super Bowl this weekend in New Jersey, but the annual “Celebrating Academic Excellence” competition at Hodgkins Elementary School on February 8th.

The annual event brings together students who have won school-based competitions in spelling, science, math and geography. The day will also showcase Lego League/Robotics competitions as well as Computer Explorers Programs.

And while the day focuses on academics, the District’s best singers will also be in the spotlight. The Elementary Honor Choir will perform along with Westminster High School’s Raging Harmonies.

Organizers are still looking for volunteers to help make the day a success. If you are interested please contact pkeel@adams50.org
