    Welcome back to this week’s edition of the D50 Insider.

    Dr. Pamela Swanson delivered her State of the District report this week in which she outlined both the strengths and weaknesses of the district and where we are headed. We have all the details and links to how you can watch and read her remarks.

    The latest high school graduation and dropout rates have been released by the Colorado Department of Education and they tell a positive story about the work being done at Westminster and Hidden Lake High Schools.

    The Colorado Legacy Foundation has created a compelling video that captures what our Competency Based System is all about. It’s this week’s Insider video.

    District 50 is in the running for a prestigious Bill & Melinda Gates Education Grant worth a lot of money. We’ll tell you about that.

    The story of how the Hodgkins Elementary community rallied around a sick girl was highlighted by FOX 31 News and their “Feel Good Friday” segment. You can see it here.

    Colorado STEM Academy is hosting a parent night for families interested in attending the innovation school next year. We have details.
