    Welcome back to this week’s edition of the D50 Insider.

    May is a busy month, and there is a lot to tell you about in this week’s Insider.

    The latest round of 3rd grade reading results are out and District 50 is celebrating. We are the only large metro area district with improved numbers this year, and in fact, D50 has been up four consecutive years. Read about the results and what others are saying.

    The three finalists for the job as Westminster High School Principal met with the public this week. We have details about who is being considered for the important position.

    This week’s Insider has a profile of one of three Westminster Elks Teachers of The Year. Learn all about Sunset Ridge’s Neal Wolcott.

    The Colorado Legislature has finalized the state budget, clearing the way for the Board of Education to make some key decisions about the 14/15 budget. As we have been telling you, some difficult decisions have to be made.

    District 50’s STEM students have been sharing what their year in the classroom has produced. It’s impressive.
