• Artistic Achievements on Display at WHS

More than 300 works of art are now on display at the annual IB Art Show in the atrium on the second floor of Westminster High School.

The show, open to visitors, staff and students, features paintings, drawings and sculptures. The display is the culmination of nearly two years of research and hard work by the students.

Westy Art Teacher, Mark Kreger, encourages every one to stop by and experience the powerful work from 25 incredibly talented students, “Each IB art student has courageously chosen to use art as a medium to express their own unique and individual perceptions on pressing topics.”

Students share in Kreger’s enthusiasm about their artistic achievements.

Senior Jazmine Berg beamed with excitement in being a part of the art show, “When I was a freshman, I didn’t even know what this was about, but I knew I wanted my art up here someday. It’s really really awesome.”

The IB Art Show will be on display on the second level of Westminster High School through March 20th. View some of the pieces on display in the slideshow above.
