Brian Kosena Named New Principal at Tennyson Knolls Elementary
Students at Tennyson Knolls Elementary will have a new principal next year; someone who knows the community very well and can’t wait to start his new job.
Brian Kosena, Assistant Principal at Colorado STEM Academy, has been selected to take the place of Principal Tom Elliott who is retiring at the end of the school year. While finishing his work at Colorado STEM Academy, Brian is already reaching out to TK families.
Below is the letter is sent to the community after being selected for this position. To the Tennyson Knolls Community:
It is with great excitement and a bit of nerves that I write to you today. Without a doubt, I am thrilled for the opportunity to join your community and to continue the tremendous leadership efforts of Mr. Elliott. With this said, it is never easy to follow such big footsteps and I know I have my work cut out for me! But, I’m going to try my best and most importantly, I am looking forward to the challenge.Throughout my career I have had the honor to work in a variety of schools. Since every community is different, so are the personalities each school takes on. I look forward to getting to know Tennyson Knolls next year, and to seeing firsthand all the great things I’ve heard about it. But, we don’t need to wait until next year! I will be attending Coffee with the Principal on April 24th at 8:30 in the library and hope to see as many of you there as possible.
Once again, I am honored to be joining the Tennyson Knolls community and excited for what lies ahead.
