WHS Class of 2015 Graduates
Full of pride and no doubt nervous about their future, about 400 students from the Westminster High School Class of 2015 received their diplomas Friday night at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield.
Student Body President Olivia Gonzales encouraged her fellow students to step out of their comfort zones as they venture into the next chapter in their lives:
“One thing that I’ve learned this year, it’s that finding the right path may be hard, and achieving success will most definitely be challenging, but it is all worth it. Don’t get discouraged when something doesn’t work out because as long as you work hard and stay motivated many doors will open for you. It is never too late to start working towards your goals and dreams and I hope that you all go out and take life up on all that it has to offer.”
The ceremony was held on May 15, 2015 which translates to 5-15-15. It’s a palindrome which means the numbers are the same forward as backward, something Superintendent Pam Swanson noted in her remarks to the students:
“If you are looking for symbolism tonight it might be that while you are moving through life you’ll find that some things are constants in your life. Whether forwards or backwards … they will always give you balance. The best example of that is your family. Mom, M-O-M and Dad, D-A-D are palindromes,”
