• Closure of 72nd Avenue Delayed

    Road Closed

The city of Westminster is delaying the complete closure of 72nd Avenue at Raleigh Street by a couple of weeks, but be warned, it will eventually happen.

The city had originally targeted next week for closure as it builds a new bridge to run over Little Dry Creek. It’s part of a high priority project from the city to beautify the area and make for a safer crossing at the bridge.

Right now, motorist encounter regular delays as construction vehicles enter and exit the area, and at times traffic is down to one lane.

Raleigh Street itself has been closed for some time.

We will keep you updated on the city’s plan and timeline over the next several weeks.

Students, staff and visitors to Westminster High School can access the building from the north-west parking (See the map below).

The parking lot can be entered from the north and west by traveling east on 72nd Avenue from Sheridan to Utica (See red arrows).

The parking lot can be accessed from the south and west via 68th Avenue and Lowell Blvd (See blue arrows).
