Board of Education Forum Set for Oct 6
Tuesday, October 6th has been set as the tentative date for a public forum to help voters decide who they want to serve on the Board of Education for the next four years. Three seats are up for election on November 3.
The three incumbents, Larry Dean (Dino) Valente, Ruben Pacheco and Ken Ciancio are running for the at-large seats along with newcomers Paola Urgiles and Max Math.
The format for the event is being finalized, but you are encouraged to send possible questions to the Communications and Community Relations Department. The forum will be held in the lecture hall at 6:30 p.m.
This year’s election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, but it is an all-mail election, meaning the ballot will be sent to your home address and you can either return it by mail or deliver it to an election “drop box.” Ballots will be mailed by the Adams County Clerk and Recorder the week of October 12.
Under Colorado law you are allowed to register to vote right up until Election Day, but the sooner you do it, the simpler the process. Go to the Colorado Secretary of State’s page for more information.
