• Scott Carpenter Students Head to Great Outdoors

Many Students at Scott Carpenter Middle School will tell you it’s the highlight of their school year, something they think about for years to come.

For the 11th year, sixth grade students attended the Outdoor Ed program outside of Winter Park where they learned about the mountains, nature and how to navigate a completely new environment. For many, the two night, three day experience was the first time they had spent a significant amount of time in the mountains.

Not only was it a new way to embrace nature and the environment, it was an opportunity to bond with classmates and teachers in a brand new way.

Our cameras were there to capture the highlights and it’s the focus of this week’s Insider Video.
