    D50 Insider

Welcome to this week’s edition of the District 50 Insider.

Change can be exciting and we want you involved. Adams County School District 50 is considering a rebranding program to change how people view us, and possibly what they call us. We have the details and how you can be involved.

Ballots for the Board of Education election will be arriving in the mail this week. If you didn’t see the candidate forum, we have a link for you to view it and we will tell you why there are now four candidates instead of five.

An important anti-drug message is being delivered in school buildings and also through the air. We’ll tell you about helicopter visits to some of our schools.

Skyline Vista celebrated its brand new playground last week with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a fun message about healthy living. We will take you to the party.

You’ve probably marveled at the abilities of cartoonist Drew Litton, but last week students at Hodgkins Elementary got to spend some time with him up close.

Drew specializes in sports and you know he would have fun following the undefeated Westminster Wolves football team. They are now 6-0.

It was a packed gymnasium last week for the fall College Fair at WHS. We will tell you about that and share an important link to help get high school students focused on their options.

Mark November 2nd on your calendar and plan to attend the 2nd Annual District Showcase and don’t forget the annual homecoming parade is just around the corner.

As always we have the D50 TV lineup and our calendar of events.

    Thanks for reading.
