College Fair Provides Options
The indoor track at Westminster High School is generally used to help students run for good health but last Friday it had another purpose, to help students walk toward their future.
The Colorado Council on High School/College Relations College Fair brought representatives from area colleges and universities to the high school to meet with students and answer questions, lots and lots of questions.
Students wanted to know about scholarships, tuition costs, loans, admission requirements, application deadlines and life on campus.
There is also another important resource students are turning to, the Future Center in the Westminster High School Library. The center, which has an official ribbon cutting ceremony on November 2nd, is a fully staffed facility providing resources for students and families who want to know about options for the day after high school graduation.
While the center is located at Westminster High School, students of all ages are encouraged to stop by and begin planning for their future. Experts say students are never too young to start exploring their interests. The next edition of the District 50 Insider will have much more on the Future Center Ribbon Cutting and what you need to know to make the most of this new center.
