    D50 Insider

Welcome to this week’s edition of the District 50 Insider!

This is the season when high school memories are made and there are some very good ones to share with readers of the District 50 Insider. The WHS football team is 8-0 after a convincing win over Northglenn Friday night. We have more on the game and a video of the homecoming parade Saturday morning.

This will be a warmer winter for a group of Harris Park students who received new coats as part of “Operation Warm.”

Meantime, heads will be a little colder for some folks at Skyline Vista. They shaved their heads to raise money for the fight against childhood cancer.

Superintendent Pam Swanson and Board of Education Treasurer Ryan McCoy were recently asked to provide a valuable perspective on the funding challenges facing school districts across Colorado. We will tell you what they had to say to the Colorado Association of School Board (CASB).

Next Monday, November 2nd, is the District 50 Showcase! A chance for the community to learn more about what is going on in the District and where school principals think their schools are headed in the future.

Also, a reminder that voting is now underway. Three seats on the Board of Education are open. We have details about how to cast your ballot.

As always we have the D50 TV lineup and our calendar of events.

    Thanks for reading.
