• Valente Elected BOE President

    Larry Dean “Dino" Valente, the top vote getter in last month’s election, and the longest serving member on the District 50 Board of Education was elected president during a special board meeting Monday night.

    Valente, Ken Ciancio and newcomer Max Math were also sworn into office by  Judge John Stipech. The three, who will serve a four year term, are all District 50 graduates.

    The final vote totals are below:

    5432 Votes

    Ken Ciancio

    5156 Votes

    Max J. Math

    4683 Votes

    Paola Urgiles

    4209 Votes

    Valente graduated from Westminster High School in 1988 and then attended the University of Denver where he earned a degree in International Studies and then a license to practice law.

    He and his family have been long time contributors to the community, being very active in both business and politics. Valente's mother, Elaine was elected Adams County Commissioner in 1988.

    Joe Davidek was elected Vice President, Ryan McCoy, Secretary and Ken Ciancio, Treasurer.
