• Joanna Ramsey Theatre Unveiled next Tuesday

    Joanna Ramsey

It’s one week and counting to the unveiling of the Westminster High School Theatre in honor of longtime drama instructor Joanna Ramsey; an honor that was almost 40 years in the making.

The event coincides with the Centerstage Theatre Company’s production of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.” The opening night for the play is Wednesday, March 16th.

You will be able to purchase tickets for the week’s performances at the dedication ceremony.

In December, the Board of Education unanimously approved a plan to name the theatre after Ramsey and name the greenhouse after longtime horticulture teacher Phil Love.

The greenhouse dedication will take place on Friday, April 22nd.

Ramsey taught theatre and drama for 37 years, most of them at Westminster High School. Among the many honors given to Ramsey was her induction into the Colorado Thespians Hall of Fame in 2012.

Here is the lineup for the night’s events.
