• Greenhouse Dedication is April 22nd

On Friday, April 22nd the greenhouse at Westminster High School will officially be named after retired horticulture teacher Phil Love, who was instrumental in the construction of the facility.

The greenhouse opened in October of 2012 after being built with the assistance of a $100,000 grant from the Colorado Home and Garden Show, one of the largest grants ever given by the organization. Under Love’s leadership the District’s horticulture program became one of the most respected in the state, consistently winning awards and even more importantly steering students toward successful careers.

The dedication ceremony is being held in in conjunction with the Annual Spring Plant Sale which will allow people to not only participate in honoring Love but also buy plants for the spring season, something sure to put a smile on Love’s face.

The ceremony is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Look for more details in the weeks ahead.
