Welcome to this week’s edition of the INSIDER!

Congratulations to our Westminster Elks Teachers of the Year. Today’s Insider offers the first of three videos profiling these amazing teachers.

The greenhouse at Westminster High School has now officially been named after long time horticulture teacher Phil Love. We have highlights of the dedication ceremony.

The first ever Westy Idol competition drew a big crowd and highlighted the great student and teacher talent in the District. We will tell you all about it.

The Board of Education heard a student perspective on life at Westminster High School. We will take you to their meeting.

The BOE also had a chance to turn the spotlight on some students who have overcome major obstacles in their life to succeed in school. The Board also honored a former student who, along with his father, saved a life. It was special night at the last Board of Education meeting.

We all know the story of Molly Brown and the sinking of the Titanic, but one teachers has made the details come alive. 9 News recently reported on the work of Kathy Zook and we will share that story with you.

A couple of big events to remind you about this spring. The annual Retirement Celebration is coming up soon while the Education Foundation hosts its annual breakfast and golf tournament.
