• ‘MEDIC!’ Premiere is Friday May 20th

“MEDIC!” is a Veterans History Project documentary produced by Westminster High School students in collaboration with Congressman Ed Perlmutter. It will have its premiere showing on Friday, May 20th at the Joanna Ramsey Theatre at WHS.

The film documents the powerful stories of five brave combat veterans who served their country and took care of fellow soldiers during recent wars. Students conducted the interviews and helped edit the film in collaboration with teacher Chris Williams and Congressman Perlmutter’s office.

“MEDIC!” is the fourth documentary produced by the Congressman’s office as part of the Library of Congress’ Veterans History Project, but it is the first to involve high school students. The other three films were produced by college students.

Congress created the Veterans History Project in 2000 as a way to collect, preserve and make accessible personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war.
