• WHS Class of 2016 Graduates

Students from the Westminster High School graduating class of 2016 are on to the next chapter of their lives. Close to 400 students were handed their diplomas Saturday night during ceremonies at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield.

Valedictorians Kelly Chittarath and Vy Le delivered a joint address to their classmates mixing humor, gratitude and a reflection on their time at Westminster High School.

Vy - ”The one feeling that comes to mind during this day is bittersweet. Bitter because we’re leaving a place that feels like home, where memories can be found in every corner of the building.”

Kelly – “But sweet because we’re venturing out to new unexplored realms.”

Another example of that bittersweet feeling was the death of Senior Joel Lara earlier this month, who died in a traffic accident. Joel’s family was on hand for the graduation and he was fondly remembered by fellow students and the staff who taught him.

You can see highlights of the graduation ceremony below.

You may also find information on purchasing a DVD of graduation here.
