• About Ms. Munns
I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin and was raised a devout Packers fan and book lover. My love of books and all things learning motivated me to attend college and to achieve my goal of becoming a speech-language pathologist. Following high school, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I received my bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders. After my undergraduate studies, I immediately pursued my Master's of Science in speech-language pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. My first few years of my professional career were spent teaching at an elementary school in Racine, WI. The summer of 2016, I realized I was tired of Wisconsin winters and moved the 1,000 miles west to Colorado. I am thrilled to be here and have very much enjoyed my transition from elementary to the middle school population.

    My Why
Communication! Communication is how we connect with one another and is the key to personal and career success. I became a speech-language pathologist because I believe strongly in the power of communication. My position allows me to help my students improve their ability to communicate and consequently, improve their ability to develop emotionally, socially, and academically. My career is extremely rewarding and I enjoy guiding student's towards achieving their communication goals and celebrating their successes along the way.
