About Me

  •        This is my 9th year as a teacher, and my 9th year here at Shaw Heights!  I love teaching science because all people are curious about the world around them, and science is all about learning how and why the world is the way it is.  Before working at Shaw Heights I ran YMCA youth programs and outdoor education camps.  I recieved my teaching license from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and my undergratuate degree in Biology is from St. Michael's College in Vermont. I also have my Masters in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse eduction from Adams State University.

When I am not at school I am usually on an adventure with my family and dog! I have daughter and son who love to play outside with me.We love to flyfish, hike, snowboard, and cross country ski.  I also love seeing live music, eating delicious food, and doing crossfit!
