  • The Westminster High School Band Program prides itself on being one of the most active groups at WHS. Want to be part of a great musical experience? It's never too late! Wind Ensemble

  • Wind Ensemble (full-year; 1.0 credit)is our top performing group in the WHS Band Program, and performs at state and regional festivals. It is designed to develop students’ advanced technique for playing brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments and cover a variety of band literature styles and historical periods, primarily for concert performances.  Attendance at various concerts and experiences outside of the normal school day is required. Students audition in the Spring Semester to be placed in Wind Ensemble.

Symphonic Band

  • Symphonic Band (full-year; 1.0 credit) is designed to develop students’ intermediate to advanced technique for playing brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments and cover a variety of band literature styles and historical periods, primarily for concert performances.  Attendance at various concerts and experiences outside of the normal school day is required. Students audition in the Spring Semester to be placed in Symphonic Band.

  • Concert Band (full-year; 1.0 credit) is designed to promote students’ beginning to intermediate technique for playing brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments and cover a variety of band literature styles and historical periods, primarily for concert performances.  Attendance at various concerts and experiences outside of the normal school day is required.  NO AUDITION IS NECESSARY!
