  • Internships are a great way to get valuable experience in your intended career field. In addition to our internship class offered at WHS, there are a variety of external internships and volunteer programs available for high school students. Current opportunities include:

    Children’s Hospital Medical Career Collaborative (MC²)

    CSBR Aerospace Summer Internship Program

    • Internship through CSBR for students interested in careers in STEM careers, particularly aeroscience

    Denver Student Training in Research Science (STaRS) Program

    • Internship opportunity for traditionally underrepresented students interested in biomedical research, translational, and other research fields
    • Available in student's junior or senior year, age 16+
    • 8-10 week program, 8-10 hours per week.

    Denver Health Volunteer Program

    • Variety of volunteer opportunities available in several departments from outpatient clinics to clerical work to the ER.
    • Must be 16 and commit to 2 hours per week to complete 100 hours during a 6-12 month period.
