Through our community partnerships, there are a wide variety of community opportunities that we recommend that our students get involved in. These opportunities can help students explore careers, participate on college campuses, and earn valuable experience as they prepare for life after high school. Most of these opportunities are free, and many are available for all age groups. Bookmark this page and check back frequently, as we often get new opportunities every week!

Ready to Rise
- Free training or upskilling short-term credentialing programs, specifically targeted at those impacted by a pandemic-related change in career plans
- To be eligible, you must be at least 16 AND meet one of the following criteria:
- Unemployed
- Underemployed
- Employed, but either you or your employer was impacted economically by the COVID-19 pandemic
- Experienced an economic loss or had additional economic expenses due to the COVID-19 pandemic
- Previously incarcerated
- The program will pay for the costs of industry credential obtained in 12 months or less. This could include earning a commercial driver’s license, H-VAC certification, or licensed practical nurse credential. You could also strengthen your digital or customer service skills to advance your career. View a list of other potential industry-recognized credentials.
