Shaw Heights Middle School

    My name is Mrs. Corneau and I am one of the CLD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) teachers here at Shaw Heights Middle School.  My primary role is to support the English Language Learner with acquiring English, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening to and understanding English.  Development of these skills to acquire English will help them succeed in their other classes.  

   I am so honored to be a part of the Shaw Heights family!  I am privileged to say that I have taught for Westminster Public Schools for 21 years (and counting)!  I believe that Westminster Public School's students are the best and the brightest, and will proudly carry us into the 21st century!  I believe that ALL students have the ability to be successful, and that given the right academic program like our Competency Based Instruction utilized here, students will flourish and be able to take any path in the future that they desire!  There is nothing more rewarding than watching success in progress, and that is the reason that I became and love being a teacher!

  When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my husband, son, and friends, participating in sports, performing volunteer work through dog rescue, and enjoying camping, boating, and fishing.  I am a Colorado native, and have always loved participate in the seasonal activities that Colorado has to offer!
