• Hello Students and Families!

Welcome to Ms. Dierkens's Teacher Page!

    Name: Jordan Dierkens

    Email Address:
     jdierkens@westminsterpublicschools.org

    Phone number:720-428-9533

This is my third year of teaching Special Education.  I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with my Bachelor's in Special Education.  I am currently in my Master's program at UNC for the Coaching and Leadership program.

When I graduated in 2015, I worked in Greeley, CO at an Elementary school as an Intensive Autism Program teacher.  We moved from Greeley to Broomfield which prompted this new opporunity to work at Shaw Heights Middle School as the Serious Emotional Disability Teacher.

I am a Colorado native, but love to travel whenever I can.  I love to go hiking (especially 14er's) and go on long runs.  I enjoy reading as much as I can when I am not working and being able to try new resturants to eat at.

  • My Why:
When I was in high school our lacrosse team (I played for 10 years) was given the option to either do a weights class or help in the special education department for adaptive gym class or helping serve as a support assistant in some of their classes.  I chose to work with students with disabilities and from there, grew a passion.  I knew right after a few weeks of working with stduents with disabilities that this is what I wanted to do for my career.  My goal is to help students be successful in any way, shape, or form that they can be.  I want them to know that they are not alone in the education cycle and that we are here to help them achieve their goals.
