My name is Carrie DeLyser and I have been teaching at Tennyson Knolls for 8 years. I moved to Colorado in 2009 from Southern California, where I was born and raised. I grew up outside of Los Angeles and went to the University of California at Santa Barbara for college. I met my husband in Santa Barbara during the summer of 2006 and we were married in 2012.
I live in Broomfield with my husband Steve and our new baby Connor. When I am not teaching I love to travel and spend time with my family. I also enjoy reading, watching movies, and running. During football season you can usually find me watching the Green Bay Packers. Go Pack Go!
I chose to become a teacher because working with children makes me happy. I enjoy having a positive impact on their lives and watching them grow throughout the school year. My students are always encouraged to treat each other with respect and to show up every day ready to learn as much as possible. Successfully helping students to build positive relationships with one another and learn new content each day makes me proud to be an educator.
