• Hi friends! My name is Amber Pennell and I am a K/1 teacher here at Tennyson Knolls. I grew up in Idaho Springs, Colorado and went on to attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. There, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

I pride myself on creating personal relationships with my students and their families and I think that makes such a difference in education! This is my 5th year teaching Kindergarten, but my first teaching 1st Grade. I love teaching Kindergarten because of the immense growth each student can make in just one year. It is so rewarding to see a student who comes in with minimal knowledge of the alphabet begin to learn to read before they make it to 1st Grade!  1st Grade has been a fun adventure so far.

In my free time, I love to play with my dog, Finn, get outside, try new foods, read books, go to concerts and sporting events, do arts and crafts, and spend time with my family and friends.

I may be reached by phone at (720) 542-4376 or by email at apennell@westminsterpublicschools.org.
