Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Melinda Frates
As a graduate of Westminster Public Schools, I wanted to always teach in the community I grew up in. I have had the pleasure of teaching grades 3-6 as a classroom teacher, reading interventionist K-5 and an instructional coach.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Adams State University with a K-6 Elementary License. In addition to having my B.A., I hold a Master's Degree in Supervision, Administration and Leadership K-12.
I have been in the district for 18 years and have had the pleasure teaching students of parents that I had gone to school with as a kid. Teaching has always been my life-long passion and I truly believe in the cooperative learning method of teaching. Kagan Structures are a huge part of my classroom and I truly enjoy when the students have that AH HA moment in their learning.
