Dear Families of Sunset Ridge PK-8 Students,

We have made it to the 4^th quarter of the 2022-2023 school year.  The month of April will hopefully bring lots of warm weather.   In April, we also have state testing for students in grades 3 to 6.  Our state tests are called the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS).  We will administer our first test to students on Monday, April 10.  Our last scheduled CMAS test will be on Friday, April 21.  In this edition of the Sunset Ridge PK-8 Family Newsletter, we have included the CMAS testing schedule.  Please note the dates and times your children will be taking CMAS tests.  It is important for your child to be in school on the dates when your child is testing. 

All of our 3^rd to 6^th grade students will take three English Language Arts (ELA) tests and they will also take three math tests.  Our 5^th graders will also take three science tests.  Please remind your child to do their very best work while testing.  We are very proud of all of our students and we know they will work hard and put forth outstanding effort.

We have several upcoming events in the final months of our school year.  In this newsletter, you will find an invite to our Coffee with the Principals on Thursday, April 6.  Join us in the library at 8:00 a.m.

Estimadas familias de los estudiantes de Sunset Ridge PK-8:

Hemos llegado al cuarto trimestre del año escolar 2022-2023. Se espera que el mes de abril traiga mucho clima cálido. En abril, también tenemos pruebas estatales para estudiantes de 3.° a 6.° grado. Nuestras pruebas estatales se denominan Medidas de éxito académico de Colorado (CMAS). Administraremos nuestra primera prueba a los estudiantes el lunes 10 de abril. Nuestra última prueba CMAS programada será el viernes 21 de abril. En esta edición del Boletín familiar de Sunset Ridge PK-8, hemos incluido el calendario de pruebas CMAS. Tenga en cuenta las fechas y horas en que sus hijos tomarán las pruebas CMAS. Es importante que su hijo esté en la escuela en las fechas en que su hijo está tomando la prueba.

 Todos nuestros estudiantes de 3.° a 6.° grado tomarán tres exámenes de artes del lenguaje inglés (ELA) y también tomarán tres exámenes de matemáticas. Nuestros alumnos de 5º grado también tomarán tres exámenes de ciencias. Por favor, recuérdele a su hijo que haga su mejor trabajo durante la prueba. Estamos muy orgullosos de todos nuestros estudiantes y sabemos que trabajarán duro y harán un esfuerzo excepcional.

 Tenemos varios eventos próximos en los últimos meses de nuestro año escolar. En este boletín, encontrará una invitación a nuestro Café con los directores el jueves 6 de abril. Únase a nosotros en la biblioteca a las 8:00 a. m.
