    A little about me...

I am very excited to be teaching Language Arts at HiddenLake High School. I graduated from the University of Colorado Denverwith a B.A. in English Literature and Secondary Education Licensure. I did mystudent teaching at Aurora Central High School and North Middle School. I also, currently attend Regis University to obtain my M.A. degree in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Teaching. I live in Northglenn with my husband, our daughter Autumn, and our three dogs.

I have taken many paths toget to the road that I am on, and will always continue to take the road less traveled because I have found that that road always helps shape who I am. Ibelieve that anything worth having in life always takes dedication and passionto truly achieve it. When I graduated from college I wanted to work in a school like Hidden Lake, but I never knew that one could reach their dream soquickly.  I am truly honored do be working with such amazing people and students. My goal is to help our students become aware of the world around them and my hope is that through discussions, reading important texts, looking at current events, and writing about life. The things we read and write about will help them connect to life, become a lifelong learner, and figure out who they are as an individual.

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you thestrength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change theworld.” HarrietTubman
