Welcome to Meghan Helgeson's Teacher Page!

I have been teaching at Sunset Ridge since 2002!  I have really enjoyed working with the students and families in this neighborhood.  I have taught several different levels and love getting to know all of the students in this community.  

I have a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in Elementary and Special Education.  I earned my Master’s degree in Reading from the University of Colorado. 

I grew up in New York but moved to Colorado shortly after I finished my undergrad.  What was supposed to be a short stay in Colorado ended up being where I found my permanent home.  When I am not teaching, I enjoy running, hiking, biking, hot yoga, and searching for the perfect bump run with my snowboard.   However, the thing I enjoy most is hanging out with family and friends.
