‘Candy Land’ Homecoming Parade Brings Sweets to the Streets of Westminster

It was Halloween come early for the kids who lined the streets of this year’s Westminster High School Homecoming Parade.

31 floats featuring eight WPS schools made the “Candy Land” themed parade one of the best ever. The weather was perfect for the annual event, which has grown over the years to include both elementary and middle school floats.

The parade kicked off a week of activities that will culminate next Saturday with the homecoming dance at Westminster High School.

Friday night the Wolves football team will play Adams City High School in the homecoming game at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

It will be a week full of fun for the high school students and the community. Click here to see the list of homecoming activities.
